"Victoria"
Victoria's Grandparents were very pleased with this portrait of their Parisian Granddaughter. They plan to give it to the parents of this precious girl on Christmas. The painting is now in France. I do hope the parents like it.
I actually did 2 paintings, one in pastel (above) and one in oil. They chose the pastel. Now I get to play with the oil version a little.

I painted "Survivor" for the Paws & Claws at Flintrock Falls fundraiser for The Friends of Mrs. P's nonprofit organization (http://www.friendsofmrsp.org). They raise money, pet food and other services for pets who's owners need a little help to take care of them and to the loveable neighborhood "pet" who prefer living in the wild, so to speak.
"Survivor" was a big ol' Tom cat that would come through the neighborhood where we used to live. You could tell he had had his share of cat fights but there was a gentleness in his eyes. Maybe he was once someone's pet and got lost, then mistreated and just couldn't bring himself to trust humans again.
